Deborah is a self-trained artist who left nursing to pursue her interest in design in 1981. She custom stenciled and hand painted borders and murals in homes and businesses for over 20 years producing designs for over 600 rooms. She designed and stenciled borders in the gift shops at The American Folk Art Museum at both the Lincoln Center and Rockefeller Center locations. Deb developed a wholesale company that created painted furniture, clocks, trays, etc. for the home and sent out orders nationally and internationally to shops and catalogs. Moving on to designing, she joined a design firm in New York City and started licensing her work to the home furnishing industry creating wallpaper collections, fabric designs, paper products and cards, china collections and several illustrated books. She has also pursued her love of painting by creating original art using watercolor, pen and ink, pastels and acrylics. While in New Jersey, she displayed and sold works privately and at a number of shows and galleries in New Jersey, New York City and Pennsylvania. Deb has also taught many different art classes to adults and children through the years. Now, in Florida for almost 10 years, she enjoys painting during a morning meditation in mainly watercolors and shares the art on Facebook and Instagram. The intention is to uplift the viewers with spiritual, fun and sometimes wacky art. She has had a number of yearly art displays of her watercolor and acrylic works at the Cocoa Beach Library.
