S. B. Giblin

Susan attended college in Connecticut where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in art education. She taught in Connecticut and ran a successful stained-glass business. In Florida, she spent her time focusing on her surroundings, painting the people, landscape, animals and flora of her new home. She has participated in various competitions and shows throughout the south, winning special recognition for her work depicting the beauty of the southern landscape. Her works hang in homes and collections throughout the country and South America. Currently, Susan has been experimenting with a type of pointillism. These paintings reveal the way colors play together to give the illusion of depth, how proximity of objects can shade a shape and how the juxtaposition of two colors effect their intensity and hue.
